RobotReel
Cloth Lab / recorded deformable physics

Same sheet.
Three ways to fall.

One grid, one clamp, one gravity field. Change only the bending coefficient. Orbit three real Newton recordings, then take every vertex into Blender.

01 / A controlled release

Only bending changes.

Each 0.96 × 0.64 m sheet has 117 vertices and 192 triangles. Two columns are fixed. Every free vertex has mass 0.01 kg; gravity is 9.81 m/s². All three start at rest.

No collisions, self-contact or learned policy. The dashed outline shows the initial sheet.

02 / Measured deformation

Take the evidence with you.

Save a slide-ready 1920 × 1080 figure with the selected view, source clock and measured deformation. Download the matching JSON for full-precision metrics, camera settings and the positions fingerprint.

Open sample JSON checks those facts against this recording, then restores the view. Files stay in your browser; exports and imports work offline. A match checks consistency, not recorder authenticity or real-fabric accuracy.

RMS compares all 117 corresponding vertices; free-edge drop averages the nine edge vertices.

03 / From solver to scene

Edit it in Blender.

The USD stores original mesh points and velocities at every sample. Set Blender to 30 fps, then import. Frame 1 is the untouched initial state. Native readback checks the deformation.
